The Minnesota Attorney General’s Health Care Transaction Review team is seeking input from physicians about two proposed hospital-system mergers currently under review: Sanford Health and North Memorial Health, and Sutter Health and Allina Health.
This guided discussion provides an opportunity for family physicians to share experiences and insights, ask questions, and discuss how these proposed transactions could affect physicians, patients and communities across Minnesota.
Discussion topics may include:
Referral patterns and care coordination.
Partnerships with the health systems involved.
Experiences with emergency services.
Competition and the changing health care landscape.
Potential benefits, concerns and unintended consequences of the proposed mergers.
Whether you have concerns, questions or observations, your perspective can help inform the state’s review process.
